Latest Updates – 2020/Q2
This page includes details of all updates and additions to the Director suite of software applications from April 1, 2020 to June 30, 2020 …
Version 3.2.011 – 29 June 2020
Admin: Usability improvements. Multi-tab screens (Event Dashboard, Store Dashboard, Product Editor, etc) will now refresh with the appropriate tab opened after an update. Store Dashboard -> Responses (formerly “Store Documents”) redesigned to show all available responses and highlight inactive ones.
Version 3.2.010 – 17 June 2020
Bug fixes and improvements for Address and Emergency Contact edit on both Admin and Public sites.
Version 3.2.009 – 09 June 2020
Minor fixes. Admin: Validate Bib Numbers for event. Correct start date for vouchers on creation. Public: Fix to show error text for Stripe webhooks. Direct login attempts for non-registered email address to Sign Up form.
Version 3.2.008 – 01 June 2020
Minor fix for composite (series/family) registrations where answers were not being copied to second and subsequent registrations.
Version 3.2.007 – 30 May 2020
Support for FlexiPayment payment plans (similar to the functionality offered by OxiPay, AfterPay, etc) which allows you to provide an option for participants to pay their entry fee of in a number of installments (most typically this is four installments at a fortnightly interval – but you can choose anything you like). This option is most effective when used with a payment threshold (so that it is only offered as an option when, say, the cart total is >$150) and a surcharge (which can be used to levy a finance fee if you want to). If a surcharge is specified, the full amount of the surcharge is added to the initial payment.
This update also includes a fix to automatically create result records for new registrations if a competition exists for their race and the event is either in the past or not more than 7 days in the future.
Version 3.2.006 – 25 May 2020
Support for Virtual Run inside the results module by allowing participants to upload their own result using the Strava API. Includes comprehensive control/validation of the submitted Strava activities (Important! This function requires clients to create their own “app” on the Strava Developers site – full instructions in a step-by-step will be available soon).
In order to support Strava upload, a My Results tab has been added to Dashboard which allows any user to view results for any owned registration. Includes a detail view of the result which is similar to the public results site.
Version 3.2.005 – 22 May 2020
The essential function of Bib Numbering has been taken out of Store Dashboard and moved into its own page, available directly from the Events menu. A bib number details tab is now available showing the exact state of each bib number for the event. The Actions menu on this page now provides access to a bulk update of bib flags. This allows a range of bibs to be set as “Locked” (which means entrants can only be moved to another bib via the Registration Editor) and “Available” (or not). This means you can reserve range of bibs by setting their available flag off, even though they are not allocated yet to an entrant.
This update also includes significant improvements to the Audit Log viewer in the Registration Editor and also from the Administration menu.
Version 3.2.004 – 20 May 2020
A significant update today with major changes to the background plumbing of the system. The main changes for end users is a new menu item under Setup, “Email Templates”. Email templates can be used to send automated confirmation emails after specific actions. Current actions which will receive a notification are: Race Transfer, Person to Person Transfer, Withdrawal. All of these actions can now be performed through the Public interface by setting up the appropriate Change Rule.
Version 3.2.003 – 06 May 2020
Results certificate upload function added. See “Step by Step” guides for more information on adding a certificate to your results.
Version 3.2.002 – 05 May 2020
Race Transfers – this functionality allows participants to transfer their registration from one race to another and even from one event to another. The set of allowable events/races and any applicable fees are set using the Race Transfer Rules page, which is accessed from the Actions drop down of any “Race Change” change rule (Registrations -> Change Rules).
Version 3.2.001 – 02 May 2020
Descending value vouchers – these work by awarding a progressively lower discount based on the number of times the voucher has already been used. To work, the total available count of vouchers must be specified above and the descending value and descending steps must both be > 0. EXAMPLE: for a voucher with Available Count = 20, Value = 40%, Decrement Value = 10% and Number of Decrements = 4 … the first 5 voucher uses would get a 40% discount, the next 5 would get 30%, the next 5 would get 20% and the last 5 would get 10%.
Version 3.2.000 – 28 April 2020
MAJOR RELEASE – Complete rewrite of ecom to host mutliple providers. Addition of STRIPE payment provider.
Version 3.1.071 – 20 April 2020
Admin: Standardise Clone functions for Event, Store and Product. This makes it easy to copy these core objects and their associated properties. Check out the Step by Step guide on Event Rollover for more info.
